Lori Amato

Lori was born July 26th, 1958 in Bellflower, California. She moved to Portland Oregon at a young age where she grew up in a blended family of 5 siblings.

In 1985 her first son was born and she did her best to provide him with a wonderful childhood. In 1992 she married Charles Amato. Shortly after marrying they had their second son, Anthony. They went on to create a beautiful home together in Happy Valley, Oregon, where she remained happily until her passing.

In her free time Lori loved tending to her home and garden, hosting family and friends, playing cards and board games, going for hikes, cooking, taking trips to the coast or Mt. Hood, going to the movies, and playing guitar.

In 2017 she began her long battle with cancer, in her time of need she still found a way to put others before herself. Lori was an inspiration to so many during her fight and in her final decision to be with the Lord. She passed away peacefully in her home on June 16th, 2023 at the age of 65.

Lori was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many. She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and loyalty. She is survived by her loving husband Charles Amato; her two sons, Ryan (Katrina) and Anthony (Sarah); her three granddaughters; Her father, Ron, and four siblings, as well as many nieces and nephews who she loved and adored. She was preceded in death by her mother Loretta, and niece Alexis.

A service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, July 15th at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in SE Portland at 10:30 a.m. If you are unable to attend, flowers and condolences can be sent to Rose City Funeral Home.
