Lucille was born in Portland, Oregon. She was adopted and raised by her paternal grandmother, Mary Daisy French. She attended public schools in Portland. After leaving the Foreign Service, she attended Portland State University, earning a B.A. in History in 1978 with a Middle Eastern Studies Certificate.
Lucille traveled in Greece, Turkey, Iran, Libya, Tunis, Italy, France, England, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Morocco. She worked for the State Bureau of Land & Labor Industries from 1982 until her retirement on February 1, 1997.
Lucille was an avid skier in her younger years, loved the mountains and had many fun and crazy times together with her friends. Services will be held at 2:00P.M., Saturday February 12, 2011 at Rose City Funeral Home, 5625 NE Fremont, Portland.
