Lucille Margaret Martin

Lucille Margaret " Lu" Martin was born on October 20, 1910 in Huron, South Dakota, the daughter of William and Laura Griffin. Her family moved to Portland when she was a girl and she was a graduate of Grant High School. She married Donald Martin in 1932. In the 1930's she worked in her father's restaurant "The Hob'n Nob". Lu had lived on Sauvie Island for 57 years and she attended Sauvie Island Community Church. Her husband Donald died in 2002. Lu died at her home on September 10 at the age of 96 and is survived by her daughter Donna McBride, 2 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
