Lula Belle May Lea

Lu was born to Clarence & Inga Connelly on June 28 1935 in Minot North Dakota. She attended Monroe High School in Portland Oregon & was married to Lloyd W. Lea who passed in 2011. Lu spent most of her life in the Laurelhurst Neighborhood where she raised her two children Lloyd W. Lea Jr. & Katherine Lea-Smith. She was a volunteer coordinator at St. Vincent DePaul & worked in their Antique Boutique. Lu enjoyed decorating her home for the holidays especially Halloween & over the years her haunted house became quite the neighborhood attraction. A service will be held Monday September 30 at 11am preceded by a viewing Saturday September 28 from 9:00am til' 4pm at Rose City Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family requests a donation to Pacific Gardens employee appreciation fund 17309 NE Glisan St. Portland, OR 97230.
