Mabel May Sinclair, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, died at the age of 101. She was born in Portland, to Conrad and Christina Yeager, the second of three daughters. She was raised in the area, graduated from the High School of Commerce, and lived in Oregon her entire life. Mabel met and married William G. Sinclair in 1934. Together they were an adventurous, entrepreneurial couple, starting and owning a variety of small businesses. They enjoyed many years of traveling Oregon and the western states, especially Arizona, where they maintained a winter residence. Mabel is remembered for her wonderful chocolate cakes, her love of picnics, card and game playing with family and her many friends. She also was an enthusiastic sports fan, both as participant and observer. Mabel was preceded in death by her husband, "Bill"; and granddaughter, Alison Kiefer. She is survived by son, Dr. William G. Sinclair and his wife, Patricia of Upland, Calif.; daughter, Wilma Kiefer and husband, John of Salem. She is also survived by five granddaughters and six great-grandchildren. Services honoring Mabel will be held at 1:30 p.m., Feb. 24, 2012 at Rose City Funeral Home, 5625 N.E. Fremont St., Portland, OR.
