Marie Geraldine Brown-Rosenberg

Crypt side services will be held for Marie Geraldine Brown-Rosenberg, 11AM, Saturday, January 12th at Rose City Cemetery. Mrs. Brown-Rosenberg passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family in Portland on January 6th. She was 96 years old.
Marie was born November 27, 1916 in Portland to Harry F. and Anna (Hauser) Mitchell. She grew up in NE Portland and graduated from Jefferson High School, class of 1935. That same year she married her first love Fred "Bus" Brown whom she met at a local dance. They raised four children, three sons and a daughter Jean Marie who died shortly after birth. Marie was a bright outgoing woman who made friends easily and kept them for a lifetime. She was known for her active lifestyle, with fishing, youth baseball, square dancing and throwing family get-togethers. She love to sew, knit and was a great cook, famous for her pies. She also loved to travel with trips to Europe, Reno, Mexico and Hawaii. In 1980 her husband passed away. In 1981 she married her friend John Rosenberg. They continued and active lifestyle of travelling and square dancing. He predeceased her in death.
Marie is survived by her sons and spouses; Clifford & Bobbi Brown, Jerry & Karen Brown, Jimmy and Debbie Brown, 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
