Obituary of Marie Walsborn
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, October 30th, 2014 at Rose City Funeral Home with entombment to follow at Rose City Cemetery. Marie passed away surrounded by her family's love on October 21st, 2014 in Portland. She was 92 years old.
Marie Elizabeth Walsborn was born February 24th, 1922 in Portland, the youngest of 11 children born to Ludwig and Magdalena (Hinkel) Saur. She graduated from Jefferson High School, class of 1940.
She had an active Federal career of 29 years of service, 25 of those years with the Bonneville Power Administration. She married Alfred Walsborn on March 28th, 1947 in Portland. He preceded her in death on July 6th, 1972.
Marie is survived by her three children, Karon "Kelly" Offley, Tony Walsborn and Cheryl Jones. Five grandchildren; Troy, Justin, Denise, Jurrae and Kelly. Seven great grandchildren; Brandon, Andrew, Josh, Jaden, Jaelyn, Ember and Wyatt.
