Marilyn Mae (Rohlffs) Childs

Marilyn Childs was born July 11th 1933 in Portland Oregon to Dick and Irene Rohlffs. She died peacefully, surrounded by family and friends Thursday March 29th 2018 at the age of 84.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, brother Duane Rohlffs and sister Beverly DeLong.
Growing up in the Portland area Marilyn had many fond memories, one of her favorites was, at the age of nine she was selected as a Junior Rose Festival Princess.
She graduated from Girls Polytechnic High School in 1950. Her Senior year she was filled with many highlights, one being elected as Student Body President her senior year.
She married Warren D. Childs in 1956 but later divorced. She worked 40 + years in the insurance business. In 2002 she retired from Sedgwick. Retirement brought many adventures with trips to Hawaii and time spent with family and friends. She loved attending her grandchildren sporting events where she was their biggest fan.
Marilyn is survived by her son Michael (Joy) Troutdale, their two children Cody and Corinn and son Scott Childs of Portland.
She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
