Mary Blackledge

Mary Diane Blackledge, age 84, of Chandler, Arizona passed away April 14, 2023.   Diane spent her childhood in Umatilla and Hepner, Oregon and moved to Portland as a teenager.   Diane graduated from Jefferson High School in 1957 and married Larry Blackledge that same year.

Diane worked in international banking for Wells Fargo for 25 years. She enjoyed her work community where many of her colleagues became lifelong friends.

During her retirement, Diane spent her time traveling with her husband and grandchildren, reading, and later enjoying the warm weather in Arizona. She loved to travel to historical sites and especially to the ocean. If not at the beach, she would have been dreaming and planning her next vacation.

Diane passed away after a difficult battle with breast cancer, in San Diego, California. She is preceded in death by her husband, Larry Blackledge, son, Mark Blackledge; mother, Annie McNabb; and father, Raymond McNabb. Diane is survived by her; sister, Linda Couch; brothers, Fred McNabb, and Bob McNabb; children, Sherrie, David, Molly, and Don Blackledge; grandchildren, Lindsay, Rachael, Whitney, Thomas, and Megan; and great-grandchildren, Magnus, Mina, Felix, Dash, Anders, and Constance.

A memorial service will be held at 1 pm, June 23, 2023, at Rose City Cemetery & Funeral Home, 5625 NE Fremont St, Portland, OR 97213. Diane requested a cremation and that we scatter her ashes in one of her favorite spots.
