Mary Thomas Lenny

Mary Edith Glee Thomas was born October 13th, 1913, in Portland, Oregon, to Lilla (Dean) & Frank Thomas. She had an older sister, Martha (Pattie).
She was raised in a house at 31st & Stark in Portland. Her family also owned cottages at Rockaway Beach. She spent much of her life there. She attended Kerns Grade School and graduated from Washington High School.
She married William J. (Bill) Lenny on June 17th, 1939. They had one daughter, Pamela, in 1947. In 1950, they moved to her current home on Bush Street.
She enjoyed gardening, volunteering, and knitting. She loved cats all her life. Mary took care of her mother and husband when they took ill. Her work ethic and dedication were great attributes.
Her father passed away at an early age in 1933. In 1976, her husband Bill passed away. She also lost her mother in 1978. Her sister resided on the east coast and passed away in 2005. Mary is survived by her daughter, Pamela Bachman, and son-in-law Jim; Her granddaughters Shelley Hooper, and Anne Bachman; Shelley's husband, Ryan, and two great grandchildren, Aaron (6) and Madelyn (3).
