Mary Isabelle Nelson

Mary Isabelle Grimson was born on October 16, 1914 in Portland, Oregon. She was raised and educated here and was a graduate of Washington High School. As a young lady she had worked as a nanny, and later she was a self employed bookkeeper, and a homemaker. She married Kenneth Herman Nelson in 1937. She was a longtime member of the Mt. Tabor Presbyterian Church, where she had been a Deacon. Her husband of 70 years, Kenneth died in 2007. Mrs. Nelson died on April 5, 2008 at the age of 93 years. She is survived by her son, Larry K. Nelson of Kingston, Washington.
