Mary Virginia Pool

Mary Virginia Pool was born to the union of Lucious Sr. and Marie Baldwin on November 20, 1927 in Paris, Texas. She was educated and graduated from Gibbons High School 1944. After graduation she moved to Wichita Falls, Texas, where she met and married E.J Young, and to that union June Wenonoh Young was born. Upon separation she later moved to Portland, Oregon where she was employed at Rose Manor Motel. Through mutual friends she met Al "Slick" Pool. They married November 22, 1954, during which time she was employed at JC Penney. Soon after she became employed at First Interstate Bank. She and Albert were blessed with a daughter, Kim Marie Pool on September 8, 1957. Mary was employed at the bank for 25 years. Upon retirement, she became a housewife. She enjoyed reading and taking care of her numerous plants. She was preceded by her husband Albert Pool; her parents Lucious and Marie; two brothers Lucious Baldwin Jr., and Homer Baldwin; and two sisters Katherin Anderson and Wanda Marie Hopkins (Reedie). Left to cherish her beautiful smile and fond memories: her daughters June Miller of Wichita Falls, Texas and Kim Pool of Portland, Oregon; and Granddaughter Celeece Kahey of Grand Prairie, Texas; one niece Dr. Beverly Anderson of Jamaica, New York; four cousins: Luther V. Francis of Prairie View, Texas, Marlene Bowens of Chicago, Illinois, Laura Edwards and Monette Payne of Portland, Oregon; Ala�(TM)s nephew and niece John and Vera Pool of Portland, Oregon; a host of other family members, and many, many friends. Special Thanks to John and Vicki Bell, Frank and Betty Hruby, John and Jean Winters for their help during many trying times.
