Maryann Rose Danek (Schwab), 84, of Portland went to be with the Lord on January 2, 2013 due to complications from pneumonia.
Maryann was born in Portland, Oregon on Sept. 30, 1928. She graduated from Milwaukie Union High School in 1947.
She is survived by two daughters: Elizabeth Turel of Portland, Sheila Danek-Pittam and husband Monty of Winston; one son: Steve Danek and wife Brenda of Roseburg; three sisters: Christine of Oregon, Angela of California, Margaret and husband Al of Texas; one brother: Donald and wife Bonnie of Beaverton; and extended family. She was a loving grandmother who left behind four grandchildren: Travis, Jordan, Ashley and Christina.
She loved her work as a seamstress. She loved her puzzle books, and was always ready for a good game of gin. She was the most loving and giving mother anyone could ask for. She had a heart of gold. She will be greatly missed by friends and family.
