Marzetta Ann Gooseberry was born on January 4th, 1951 to Nathaniel and Pearlie Gooseberry.
Marzetta, or Marge as we liked to call her, attended Boise Elementary School and graduated from Jefferson High School in 1968. Her work career began in the 70’s at the Oregon Department of Motor Vehicles in Portland, Oregon and ended in the early 90’s.
Marzetta’s life is a story of celebration! Let us join hands in agreement and say to have known her was to have loved her and today we can be graced by her spiritual presence. She was a daughter, mother, baby sister and grandma tickles. Not only was she smart, but she was free spirited and loved to laugh. Simply put she was priceless.
Her love of Halloween resulted from the loss of her 7 year old son Damond and is a reflection of her childhood innocence and love for children.
When we celebrate her life not only today, but for years to come, think of her as the True Shades of a Rainbow: her red stood for the fire in her eyes; her blue went unmatched; her orange and yellow combined were always quite zesty and a symbol of her playfulness (you see Marge loved clowns and had quite a collection); her green reflected her love of family, friends, pets, prosperity and abundance of finances and material wealth, and her violet was reflective of her uniqueness, independence and creativity.
Preceding Marge in death were her parents Nathaniel and Pearlie Gooseberry, her son Damond Fuller, her sister Katherine Hill and her brothers Joe Nathan Gooseberry and Bernard Gooseberry.
Leaving on earth to mourn her death, is the love of her life Cleo Davis a relationship that stood the test of times for over 35 years; Daughter Dolinda Gooseberry; Brother T.J. Gooseberry; Sisters LaVerne Hampton (Adron), Yvette Owens, Josephine Camel and Elaine Burge; and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and many Friends.
