“Moe” Trump peacefully passed away on Monday, April 14, 2025, at 93 years of age. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife “Jerry” (Geraldine) in 2006 after 55 years of marriage, as well as children Donna, Ronald, Robin and Donald. Moe is survived by seven children: Jeff (Debbie), David (Dixie), Jim (Beckie), Richard (Jana), Patty, Bill (Debbie), and Samantha (Rich). He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
A funeral mass will be held at St. Charles Catholic Church (5310 NE 42nd Ave, Portland) on Friday, May 2, 2025, at 11 a.m., followed by a reception at the home of Jeff & Debbie Trump in Brush Prairie, WA (address available at funeral mass). There also will be a private military burial at Willamette National Cemetery at a later date.
Moe was born in Hannover, PA and made his way to Portland, OR as a child. He graduated from Grant High School (as did most of his children), served in the Air Force during the Korean War, and worked at Owens-Illinois bottle recycling for 31 years before he and Jerry retired to their Oregon beach home. In Rockaway Beach, he was especially involved at St. Mary by the Sea Catholic Church, where he regularly ushered, collected and counted the offerings, rang the church bells, helped open and close the church, and did setup/cleanup for various events and services.
The family would like to give a special “thank you” to the caregivers at Serenity Hospice and Calaroga Terrace Assisted Living, as well as to all the incredibly caring people Moe and we have received assistance from at the VA over the last several years.
If you’d like to honor Moe’s memory with a donation, please consider St. Mary by the Sea in Rockaway Beach or any other Catholic organization.
