Melvin Susumu Takeuchi
October 4, 1944 — December 3, 2011
Melvin passed away peacefully on Dec. 3, 2011, after a brave fight against lung cancer this past year. He was born in Weiser, Idaho to Masao and Masumi Takeuchi, and is survived by siblings: Donald (Annie), Robert (Joyce), Nancy, Kathy(Mike), and 5 nieces and nephews.
Mel attended Parkrose High prior to getting his teaching degree at Pacific University. After serving in the Air Force, he taught math, coached and served as Vice Principal before retiring from Cedar Ridge Middle School in Sandy, Oregon. He enjoyed fishing, bowling and visiting Casinos.
Mel was taken from us too soon. We will always keep him in our hearts and miss him dearly.
