Misao was born to Shintaro and Fujiye Michikami in Portland, Oregon. She married Shigeru Wakabayashi and they had three children: Lisa, Dale and Sue. Misao worked as a secretary for the State of Oregon.
Misao is survived by her children: Lisa (Dale) young, Dale Wakabayashi, and Sue (H.B.) Muramatsu; and her granddaughters Lori and Kaitlin.
