Mitchell Wayne Hill was born in Prosser, Washington on September 2, 1954 to Duane and Shirley Hill. Mitch was raised and educated in Spokane, and he was a graduate of Shadle Park High School in Spokane. He moved to Portland in 1973 to attend trade school. Mitch worked for many years as a computer technician for A.T.&T., Pacific Northwest Bell, U.S. West, and Qwest. He was an active volunteer at Irvington School and the Washington County Public Library. Mitch was an avid reader and he loved nature, especially hiking and fishing. He was concerned about environmental issues as well. Mitch passed away on January 21, 2010 in Portland, Oregon at the age of 55. He is survived by his son Martin Chasehill; his mother Shirley Hill; his sister Susan Polensky; and by his brother Gary Hill.
