Obituary of Olaf "Ole" Ordal, Jr.
Ole passed away in Portland, surrounded by his family, on August 25, 2013. He was 74 years old.
Olaf Gerhard Leque Ordal, Jr was born January 30, 1939 in Seattle, Washington to Olaf Gerhard Leque and Gladys (Jorgenson) Ordal, the elder of two children. He was raised in Kirkland, Washington before attending Dartmouth College and graduating from the University of Puget Sound.
He married Elaine Caver on June 3, 1967 in Seattle, Washington. Ole worked as an investigator for the State of Oregon, before finishing his career at Costco in Portland, where he had many friends.
Ole is survived by his wife of 46 years, daughters & spouses; Janice Ordal-Odrane & Dennis O'Drane, Caver & Sean Ealy, grandsons; Ashe O'Drane, Finn O'Drane, Cade Ealy, Tucker Ealy, sister; Janice Gilmore.
Ole never met a stranger and willingly shared his love and knowledge with all those fortunate enough to have met, known and loved him. A celebration of Ole's life will be held at a later date.
