Pauline Julia (Wollesen) McNeff
August 23, 1915 — October 8, 2016
Pauline Julia (Wollesen) McNeff was born in Buffalo Center, Iowa on August 23, 1915. Later her family moved to Western Nebraska, where she grew up and went to Bear Tail Butte School.
She moved to Oregon, married Oral McNeff on May 9, 1936, and lived in Salem. They moved to Portland in June of 1942, and she worked at Yaw’s Top Notch for over 30 years.
Pauline was a unique person who inspired others with her smile, tenderness and positive attitude. She cherished both family and friends, and valued her time with them. Her spiritual love will be carried forward with those who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her husband in 1995, and by her brothers, Leland Fritz, John Carrol, Victor Paul, and Donald Elwood. She is survived by her daughter, Jane O. Taylor (Longview, WA), her son, Jim A. McNeff, and her friend, Gary A. Hansen – both from Portland, OR.
