Roland Earl Gilligan

Roland was born in Des Moines, Iowa, to Diadamia Etta and Edward Francis Gilligan. He migrated with his family to Oregon in a Maxwell touring car in 1922. His first job was a delivery boy for The American Optical Co., which eventually led to his life's work as a dispensing optician in Portland and King City. Roland is survived by his wife of 75 years, Helen E. (Franzen); children, Patricia Perry (Ron), Richard, Tom (Coco), Gary (Connie), John (Hope) and Paul (Linda) Gilligan; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grand-children; and 17 great-great-grandchildren.
