Ronald Duane Blinsman was born October 18, 1938 in Minnesota. He passed away on February 23rd, 2019 at his home in Portland, Oregon. He was preceded in death by his wife O'Leah, and his son Christopher and stepdaughter Carrie. Among his survivors are sons Kenneth Blinsman of San Diego, Steven Blinsman of Vancouver WA, Daughter Cindy Schiff of San Diego, stepson John Noah, Wenatchee, WA. Also numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, brother Harmon Blinsman of Beavercreek, and sisters Maxine Walker of Portland, and Margaret Benjamin of Vancouver. For the past several years he has been lovingly cared for by his granddaughter Toyya. His family tagged him with the nickname "Bubbin" and numerous family members in Minnesota remember him by that name. He and his pal Jimmy loved to fish, and he enjoyed fishing throughout his lifetime. in 1956 he graduated Milwaukie High School and went to work in a machine shop. He was married soon thereafter and he and his wife had two children, Kenneth and Cindy. After a divorce the children moved with their mother to California. He served in the National Guard for a number of years and continued working in the automotive industry. Ron's friend Sam Doney introduced him to O'Leah and they married and had two sons, in addition to her son John, and daughter Carrie. He enjoyed taking the family to California to see his kids there, and flew down for most, if not all of his granddaughter's high school graduations. His sons Steve and Chris were involved with baseball and he loved to cheer them on. He had a good sense of humor and enjoyed telling jokes. He and his wife attended a Lutheran church in NE Portland for several years before his health deteriorated. He will be remembered as an honest, hard working man who loved his family and was always willing to help a neighbor. We'll miss you Bubbin!
