"RON" August Julius Weitz, III

August J. (Ron) Weitz

Ron Weitz was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved spending time with his wife, who was his high school sweetheart, and his family. He was born June 10th 1941 in Portland Oregon. Ron was a prince in the Junior Rose Festival. He was well known in Longview for having the Supervalue Variety Store and Ron's Emporium. He later moved to Beaverton Oregon opening Munchkins resturant and has lived the last 10 years in Vancouver Washington. Ron had a strong love of the Lord. His life was one of trying to do the right thing and keeping everyone happy. He had a love for cars and enjoyed spending time on the computer and going out to dinner. His children joked that Ron and Barbara were joined at the hip. Ron is greatly loved and will be missed. He is survived by his wife Barbara Weitz, children Kimberlee (Craig) Weitz-Craddock, Branda (Clint) Van Fleet, grandchildren Tiffanie (Ryan) Barnett, Christopher Van Fleet, Travis (Tyrene) Hinkson, Jaron Baxter and 6 great grandchildren. Memorial services will be held Thursday in Portland Oregon.
