Rose Mary Abron
Rose Mary Abron age 67 peacefully passed away on May 22nd, 2017 at the Hopewell Hospice Facility. Rose moved to Portland Oregon in the winter of 1978 from Los Angeles California with her 6 children. Rose was born in Tyler Texas on March 21st, 1950 and was an avid reader of books, enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and friends and loved to listen to music from the 1960’s era. Rose is survived by her 7 grown kids (Curtis Jr., Richard, Curtis III, Kalena, Gena, Donald and Willa) and her brother Samuel Abron who all live within the State of Oregon and Vancouver Washington. Rose was the foundation of her family and touched everyone with her kindness and generosity. Rose had many jobs throughout her time here in Oregon and was most proud of her job as a Librarian receptionist for Portland Public Schools in the early 1990’s. Rose has many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and loved to share her passion of reading and storytelling with her family. Rose will be sorely missed and is truly loved by her entire family. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 17th, 2017 at Rose City Funeral Home located at 5625 NE Fremont Street, Portland Oregon 97213 at 11 am. A reception and celebration of life will also follow the memorial service at New Song Community Center located at 220 NE Russell Street Portland Oregon 97212 from 2pm-5pm.
