Mass of Christian Burial, 11 AM, Monday, January 12, 2015 at St. Rita Catholic Church, 10029 NE Prescott St. Visitation, Saturday 10 AM – 4 PM and Sunday 1 -4 PM at Rose City Funeral Home, 5625 NE Fremont St. Entombment at Rose City Cemetery. Rose Passed away in Portland at her home surrounded by her family and love, she was 87.
Rose Marie was born April 10, 1927 in Portland to Arturo and Maria (Calcagno) Garbarino, the eldest of two daughters. Her family lived in NE Portland where she graduated from Parkrose High, the class of 1945. On May 18th of the next year she married the love of her life, Allen B. Sisson. He predeceased her in 2002 after 56 years. Together they raised their 3 daughters and worked side by side enjoying farming their land. Rose loved to dance and belonged to Club Paesano where she did the bookings & reservations for the club. She also enjoyed working in the Cuccina kitchen with all her friends and relatives. Her fondest memories were with her family; children, grandchildren and sister.
Rose is survived by her daughters and son in laws; Diane May (ex- Mike), Kris Hilberg (Brian), and Lori Jensen (Gary). 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, her sister Inez Amato and 2 nieces.
