Ruth Margaret (Ransom) Reiniger
March 31, 1922-November 17, 2018
Ruth was born to Elmer and Bessy Ranson in New Plymouth Idaho, and raised in Payette Idaho. She graduated from Willamette University as a Social Worker, and married Calvin Reiniger in 1946. They were married for 56 years until his passing in 2002. Ruth was a proud mother of 6 children, 17 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She was very active in the community as Girl Scout Leader of troop 382, a Cub Scout leader, Rose City Little league and 4H. She was also vice president and co-founder of Bar Supply Brokerage, as well as a big game hunter of Boone and Crockett Mule deer. Ruth was an avid sports fan and loved the Blazers. She was a bingo legend, and despised by the “old ladies”! Her worldly travels extended to Mongolia, Europe, Australia, Asia and South America. She was an Airstream trailer adventurer and a member of the Wally Bynum Caravan Club. Ruth is survived by her sister Elma Louise (Ransom) Glass, her children Roger Reiniger, Karl Reiniger, (Sandra), Martha Johnston (Edward), Herbert Reiniger (Carol) Gretchen Yuchym, Rudie Reiniger (Nancy), and surrogate daughter Beverly Hill. A funeral service will be held at Rose City Cemetery & Funeral Home on Monday, November 26 at 1:00PM.
