Shad Michael Alexander was born in Portland, Oregon on August 29, 1973, and died on Sunday, December 3, 2017, at the age of 44. Shad will be remembered by his loving mom, his beautiful wife of 23 years, his three amazing children, two grandchildren, brother, and sister. Shad will also be forever remembered by his grandparents, aunts and uncles, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends. He was proceeded in death by his father, Michael Alexander.
Shad had a passion for serving his community that he grew up in. He graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1991. He served for 10 years as a Reserve Police Officer for the Hillsboro Police Department. He also served as a Century Community Football President and youth coach. He coached in the various Century and Reedville youth sports programs ranging from basketball, baseball, and football.
Shad embodied the definition of a family man…and his family wasn’t just within the four walls of his home. He treated others the way most people aspire to treat their own family. Shad’s favorite quote mirrored his life: “I’ve learned that if you pursue happiness, it will elude you. If you focus on your family, your friends, the needs of others, your work and doing the very best you can, happiness will find you.” He had a happy life, made many lifelong friends, and was loved by too many to count. Shad Michael Alexander will be deeply missed.
