Shieko Sakamoto

SHIEKO  SAKAMOTO

Shieko was born in Wakayama, Japan. She spent most of her working life in Portland as a cook/prep cook at Bush Garden and Zen Japanese restaurants and later volunteered at Ikoi No Kai. She was an active and long-time member of the SGI-USA Buddhist organization. Her favorite hobbies and past times included gardening, arts and crafts, cooking, reading Japanese literature, and watching Japanese movies and shows. Shieko is survived by her son James, and her daughter Ruby. She will soon be placed at the Rose City Cemetery Indoor Columbarium - Japanese families section.
