Soon Chaples

Soon Chaples sadly passed away on September 7th, 2018. The world lost not only a devoted wife and mother, but a loving youngest sister and beloved friend to many. Born April 17th in South Korea she met and married Bob Chaples and traveled the world with him before settling in Portland, Or together with their daughter Kim. A long successful career at Jantzen as a talented seamstress with weekends filled with ice dancing, gardening, and cooking with friends; Soon's life was one of art and laughing conversations. After officially retiring Soon loved gardening with her dog or happily cooking with her best friend while taking care of her ailing MIL full time. A truly caring and loving heart she will be dearly missed by her daughter and friends, but as she told her doctor shortly before passing 'I've had a long life, and I have no regrets.'
