Susan touched the hearts and lives of everyone she met. Her sweet smile and special way she talked to others will always be remembered. Susan was kind, compassionate and often put the needs and wants of others ahead of hers. Susan was the first born child to Joyce and Thomas Panage on November 25th, 1956, at Emmanuel Hospital. She grew up in Portland, Oregon. She was a member of the "Camp Fire Girls" at a young age. She played the piano for "Junior Choir" at Calvary Church, located in Portland. In the following years after her birth her parents were blessed with a son, Alan, born in 1960. The two children enjoyed wonderful times together growing up. Following elementary school Susan attended Grant High School, She was a straight "A" student and graduated in 1974. While attending high school she got involved in sports, soccer, basketball and track. She excelled in these sports but that is what made Susan Special because anything she did she always gave 110% and settled for nothing less than excellence. She also enjoyed arts and crafts, and took some art classes at Portland Community College. As time progressed she met Jim D'Andrea in late December 1995. The two found love and were married on March 13th 1997. They shared many happy times together. Susan left this earth on March 17th, 2019, but I'm very sure God has shone his Grace on this special lady. I wouldn't be surprised to learn that God already recruited her as one of his Angels. So now she'll continue her special ways of guidance and helping others, but from afar. I thank Susan for being a part of my life, she impacted my life a great deal. Susan is survived by her mother Joyce, her brother Alan (Brenda) husband Jim, nephew Grant and niece Penney. We will always love and remember our Susan.
