Tamara was born October 18, 1973 to Patricia and John Phillips, Jr. She was the youngest of two children.
She soon moved to Portland from Detroit, Michigan, to live with her grandparents Willa and Fletcher Barber, where she attended Sabin Elementary and Ulysses S. Grant High School. As a child she joined Allen Temple C.M.E. Church and joined the youth choir. Because of her love for helping people, she attended C.N.A. classes and worked in various hospitals. She also attended cosmetology and hair classes. Because of her health - kidney failure - she soon started Dialysis. She would often say “I have a new job.” She was a role model to other patients. Tammi loved her family and friends. She is a role model to us all to remember to live your life no matter what life brings you!
Thank you Tammi!
You will always live in our hearts.
