Theodora Maria Phelps

Theodora Maria Phelps was born on November 2, 1937 in Rock Island, Illinois to Nicholas Theodore Grevas and Catharine (Pappas) Grevas. She was raised and educated in Rock Island, and attended college in Kansas. It was while at college that she met Robert Neal Phelps, and they later married on April 16, 1958 in Illinois. They lived in many places, but came to Lake Oswego in 1976. Theodora had worked as the head cashier for the Red Lion at Lloyd Center until she retired. Robert died on April 23, 1979. She moved to Aurora in 1989. Theodora volunteered for Loaves and Fishes at the Senior Center in Tualatin. She passed away on May 26, 2009 at the age of 71. She is survived by her children: Christopher Phelps, Michelle Weiss, and Nicholas Phelps; her brother Nicholas Grevas; twelve grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
