Victor Michael Mosso, born Feb. 4, 1947, in Pendleton, passed away unexpectedly with his family by his side July 22, 2018. Beloved father of Michael, David, Daniel and daughter Andrea Hibbitts. Grandfather to his six amazing grandchildren, Noah, Elena, William, Emmett, Wyatt and Henry. They adored Grandpa Victor and will cherish all the fun times they shared together.
He grew up above the Jesse James Club in Stanfield before moving to Portland and graduating from Madison High School in 1966. Soon after graduation he served in the Merchant Marines and Air Force seeing the South Pacific. Victor attended Clackamas Community College where he received his associate degree in Sociology. Victor married Debra Blaufus in 1979 and they raised their four children in a very close loving family, although divorced for many years they remained friends and enjoyed seeing their children get married and raise their families.
Victor went on to obtain his real estate license and work for Bill Taylor & Associates, a business sales firm, in 1980. He sold numerous restaurants and lounges with the tagline "let's have coffee and look" making lifetime friends along the way. In 1986 he fulfilled his lifelong dream and opened the Boulevard Cafe in Southwest Portland and ran it for over 32 years as a cafe, Crab Bowl seafood restaurant and a karaoke lounge.
Victor loved life, he especially enjoyed going on spontaneous adventures, long road trips with his children and camping across the Northwest. He loved helping people and will be missed by so many whose lives he touched.
Victor is survived by his four children; six grandchildren; brother, Jesse Mosso; sisters, Loretta Froman and Rita Lynn.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Juanita Mosso; and his brother, Dominik Mosso.
A funeral with burial will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Aug. 3, 2018, at Rose City Cemetery & Funeral Home, 5625 N.E. Fremont St., Portland, OR, with a celebration of his life from 4-7 p.m., at the Crab Bowl Restaurant, 7958 S.W. Barbur Blvd., Portland, OR.
