Wm. Roger Stevenson
January 30, 1943 — January 3, 2011
Wm. "Roger" Stevenson died unexpectedly at his home in Damascus, Or at the age of 67 on 1/3/11. Roger was born January 30th, 1943 to Evaline Jurnberg and Clarence Stevenson.
He graduated from Parkrose High School in 1961, attended trade school to become an electrician working for 37 years at Heil Electric and was a member of IBEW #48.
Roger married Kaye Evans and they had three children, Debbie, Dwayne and Doug (Mary) Stevenson. He had two brothers, Allen and Rusty Stevenson; and seven grandchildren: Mark, Steven, Jessica, Dwayne, Jr., Morgan, Reese and Riley.
Roger Married Deanna Lloyd in 1985 and they spent 25 years traveling, gardening and enjoying their mutual love of cats.
Roger was a gregarious, kind, and caring guy, and was always helping others. He was well known for his great bushy eyebrows and quick wit.
Roger enjoyed hunting with his buddies, golfing, riding his lawnmower, drawing endless house plans and was a member of the NHRA and Dukes Car Club. He worked as a starter at PIR and Woodburn drags. He was looking forward to restoring his '69 SuperBee.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Their kitties will miss his warm lap.
