Yoshiko Hongo

Mrs. Yoshiko Hongo was born on October 15, 1916 in Milwaukie, Oregon to Takijie and Susa Morishita. She was raised and educated in Milwaukie. On December 1, 1940 she married Jimmy Hongo in Portland. Mrs. Hongo had worked for many years for Zell Brother Jewelers. She was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church, the Japanese American Citizens League, and the Japanese Ancestral Society. Mrs. Hongo passed away on June 26, 2007 at the age of 90 years. She was preceded in death by her husband and her son. She is survived by one daughter, Brenda Ellis; her sister Shizuko Aoki; and one grandson, Nicholas J. Hongo.
