Zoya Medvedeva left this world to be with her loving God on February 14th, 2021, she was 82 years young.
Zoya is a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and a pillar to so many. Zoya was the kindest and most selfless person you would ever meet. She is a superhero to so many. One of her granddaughters made the statement, “I hope that I’m half the woman she was.”
Her life was not easy; she endured many hardships such as hunger, sickness, governmental persecution because of her faith, and many other struggles that life dealt her. Through all of her life’s struggles, she remained the kind, gentle soul that people wanted to be around.
As a loving Mother, she always provided for her family. A hike into the forest to find and pick berries or mushrooms wasn’t for pleasure or exercise. It was to provide food for her family.
Zoya taught her children to stick together “no matter what” and support each other. She knew that the most important value to instill within her children was to love God. Zoya raised 14 children, was a Grandmother to 47 grandchildren, and a Great Grandmother to 13 great-grandchildren.
As her descendants, we know how richly we are blessed. We hope that you, too, are blessed by knowing her.
